PRAISES / PRAYER REQUESTS 16 NOV 09
This last Sabbath was quite an encouraging one . . . a full church . . . a musical service put on by accomplished guests . . . and more praises than prayer requests for once! I think we have to give the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been enjoying lately a bit of credit, it’s been unexpectedly wonderful.
The praises included: numerous persons who have been blessed by our Pastor Chin; numerous persons enamored of our church junior class; a praise for the fine weather we’ve enjoyed as of late (Ruby); a praise of thankfulness for two grandsons (Arloe); a praise for the 69th anniversary of grandparents Walter & Mary (Leanne); a praise for the freedom to worship (Marlin).
Prayer requests begin with a special request for the family of Ron Wham. Elder Wham, a longtime servant and leader of the faithful in the Dakotas, was found today 1.5 miles below Oahe Dam near Pierre, S.D.
The prayer requests gathered last Sabbath include the following.
Troy: request for guidance for his work supervisor Wayne.
Danita: looking for job w/ bills pending; an email received today relays a prayer request for her job interview Wednesday the 18th @ 4pm, a receptionist position.
***Gary: scan for cancerous tumors coming up, a weeklong process that begins this Friday.
Deanna: coworker Tiffany’s cancer battle.
Emma: classmate Trey suffering vision complications, temporarily blind.
Renee Santiago: sister Sarah has cancer.
Leanne: continuing prayer for numerous family transitions still unfolding in the wake of her mother’s passing; Bev Radecliffe’s cancer battle.
***And one final important note: for anyone with concerns about having any personal information included in the church website, your wishes will most certainly be respected and granted, no questions asked. But it is appropriate to also mention that I've been assured that any and all information is quite secure, as secure as your internet banking, your paypal account, etc. Any and all information is for the eyes of church members only, who access that information with secure usernames and passwords.
Take care and may God bless!
